Rory Noble-Turner is a Northern Irish designer and artist whose practice bridges sculptural objects and atmospheric spaces through contemporary digital craft.
Drawing on the cultural and geological landscapes of his native roots, Rory’s work embodies an earthy elegance, grounded in physical connection and the drama of unfolding natural forces. Intricacy, tactility and friction are recurring themes, offering a more human alternative to the seamless rationality and weightless abstraction of contemporary modernism.
Prior to founding Noble Turner Design, Rory graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture’s BSc and MArch programmes before gaining professional experience at internationally acclaimed studios including Morphosis, Mark Foster Gage and Zaha Hadid Architects, where he qualified as a registered architect (ARB/RIBA).
His work has been exhibited internationally, including at ROCA Gallery London, Dubai Design Week and Milan Design Week.
Philosophy
Digital precision in service of material depth
Rory's practice is guided by a philosophy of Post-Digital Humanism: the idea that digital tools should deepen our physical, emotional and sensory relationship with the material world rather than detach us from it.

In an era increasingly defined by abstraction and digital experience, the work turns toward the tactile and atmospheric, translating computation into forms and spaces that can be sensed, felt and inhabited.

Drawing on geological landscapes and natural processes, the studio explores erosion, stratification and time as recurring themes. Objects and spaces are conceived as frozen moments of material transformation.
​
Across scales, from objects to spaces, the intention remains the same: to enrich lived experience through work that rewards touch, use and time.
